New Collective Bargaining Agreement signed

On 29 July 2014 a collective bargaining agreement was signed between Fedil –Shipping representing the employers in the maritime sector and both OGB-L and LCGB as labour unions representing the employees.

On 29 July 2014 a collective bargaining agreement was signed between Fedil –Shipping representing the employers in the maritime sector and both OGB-L and LCGB as labour unions representing the employees.

This agreement constitutes a de facto transposition of COUNCIL DIRECTIVE 2009/13/EC of 16 February 2009 implementing the Agreement concluded by the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) on the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, and amending Directive 1999/63/EC and should as such be applied by all operators on Luxembourg flagged ships.
